Parole Prep Manual

This manual contains much of the same information disseminated at the pre-release workshops. Included in the manual are sample letters of support, frequently asked questions by the parole board, and a list of things you should and should not say at the hearing. Upon successful completion of the Redeemed Community Pre-release Instruction your assigned case-manager will mail a letter of recommendation to your state’s parole or releasing authority and work to have an advocate to attend the Parole Board hearing with you where possible.

ReComm Newsletter

Free ReComm Newsletter! Sign up for Redeemed Community’s free newsletter to get monthly updates on criminal justice-related issues, as well as advocacy/action requests and messages from Redeemed Community Staff and clients! The newsletter is free and goes out five days a week.

Empathy Groups & Seminars

These exercises create opportunities for participants to practice perspective-taking and perspective-getting with older adults in order to build empathy. Group discussion and individual journaling time will follow each exercise to help participants to process their thoughts.

 

Redeemed 4 Families

The family and incarcerated loved one may be anxiously waiting the time he returns home. Hopes that everything will be perfect are common with friends and family members. However, these hopes may not be realistic.

Christian Ministry Education

Legal Assistance

When the topic for conversation is public safety and crime, the subject matter that is all too often not discussed is public defense. We have partnered with a legal service provider to aid with case navigation and wraparound support to help protect our clients from incarceration and other criminal penalties.

Work Readiness Training

Our Work Readiness training is a six-week workshop that takes a tough love, no excuses approach to work readiness. The curriculum delves into the root causes of a person’s inability to obtain and keep a job, helping the individual to develop the attitudes and workplace behaviors they need to overcome employment obstacles and transform their lives.

Release Day Clothing/Toiletries

Redeemed Community provides clothing assistance for formerly incarcerated men. The clothing is suitable for interviewing to gain employment, register for classes or simply have nice clothing to aid the client’s successful reintegration into the community and perhaps their families.

Housing Locator Service

Finding transitional housing for a person after being released can be one of the most difficult challenges a client may face. This is where you turn to find help locating transitional housing for yourself or a loved one. Our staff are highly trained and serve as a great resource for addressing your housing needs
